The vision of the 'Product System', typical of marketing, has now become essential in every business area and has led to consider the product not only the physical product itself, but also the packaging, the brand and ancillary services. Packaging therefore contributes to creating a safe and quality product and plays a decisive role in the marketing and sales process. This consideration is valid in a transversal way in different sectors from that of the cartotecnica, to the cosmetics up to that also to the alimentary one. Food Packaging can be considered partly art and partly science for packaged food and for the development of new packaging systems.
